Will health insurance cover the correction of bunions??

I want to get my feet fixed, but I don't know how much it will cost and if insurance will cover anything. Will health insurance cover the correction of bunions??
Every insurance co has different policies on what they cover and what is not covered. I would go and see your G.P. and have him refer you to a Podiatrist. Check into what all is entailed to having them removed and ask the receptionist to check into what the coverage is reguarding the surgery.
Good luck
it is medical, it should be covered
Yes your insurance will cover this.
I would say that if the surgery is elective (your choice to do this only), you will have to pay. If it is deemed necessary by a medical physician, the insurance will pay. The safest way to determine this is to contact your insurance's member benefits (phone number should be on the back of your insurance card). They would be able to tell you yes/no, as well as what criteria needs to be met, etc.
I guess it all depends on what insurance coverage you have .
It would depend on the insurance that you have.
